1.) If you arrive by plane to Split airport, we suggest you rent a car there and then follow the sign boards for the city of Split. The same guidelines apply for arriving from any country in Europe and passing Slovenia, Hungary or Italy. Once you reach Split, sign boards for Split port / Split ferry will start to appear (all timetables for ferries and catamarans can be find below).
Following the signs, you will reach the port where information boards for Supetar (Brac Island) island will guide you to reach the correct ferry peer. We suggest you park the car there (there is usually a line of cars, you can park behind the last one) and return to the main Jadrolinija building (you can't miss the white and blue sign and it's the only building on the left side of the port) where you will find the ticket office and there you can buy the ticket for Supetar (don't forget to mention the car brand as there are different fees for different sizes of cars, also mention the number of persons travelling with you). After buying the ticket you can either return to your car or if you still have time, we recommend visiting the centar of Split which is only about a five-minute walk away

c.) Ferry (for cars and passengers) from Makarska to Sumartin
- low and high season
From Sumartin you have around 27 kilometers to the Bol town.

1.) Zlatni rat beach
https://goo.gl/maps/CrTRWNk8ro6CWHTD9
Golden Horn beach or Zlatni rat in Croatian, the long pebble beach at Bol town, which extends 500 m elegantly into the sea, is the most famous beach and biggest attraction on the island. The beach is particularly interesting, as it naturally changes the direction of its top, due to the strong sea currents. You can either choose a windy side or the other to enjoy the sun, or just go windsurfing. The beach is rewarded with a Blue flag, so you are sure to have everything you need – from beach bar Auro with cosy and comfortable seats, massage by the sea in the shade of pine trees, restaurants in the vicinity to walks and talks with your family and friends.
2.) Murvica beach
https://goo.gl/maps/bmcyPxpNoW2ZSEru7
Only 5 km from Bol town lays the picturesque village Murvica, situated on the very cliff of the island and surrounded by charming vineyards. There are two nice beaches with white sand and a stunning location on the slopes of the island, looking towards Hvar Island. Pine trees provide a natural shade, but beauty there comes with a price! After parking your car on the top, you have to descend to the beaches on a step walk. On the top is also a snack bar, where you can purchase some drinks.
3.) Martinica beach https://goo.gl/maps/pxsVEEf9xCjirnpz6
Near the town centre is divided into two parts by a small cape with a monastery. To the east of the monastery lies a beautiful bay with wonderful views of the surrounding hillside and Hvar Island. The beach offers only little or no shade, but in the afternoon when the typical Mistral wind is blowing, it is sheltered by the monastery’s promontory. Martinca beach is also referred as the “home beach”, as local inhabitant’s bath there. We can recommend this beach to families with children, because in summer swimming lessons for kids of all ages take place. Near the beach lie a beach bar and a restaurant within the monastery’s courtyard, where you can find shelter from the hot sun. Further, from the beach there is a lovely path among the rocks, leading to a couple FKK coves.
4.) Stina Winery – local Bol wines
https://goo.gl/maps/ds5dYtuimDfEkz6V7
To get on the real taste of local wine, you should definitely visit Stina winery. The wines Stina first appeared on the market in 2015 and already then they conquered the top of the best Dalmatian reds and whites.
The most known white wine is Posip and red wine Plavac mali is also recommendable.
5.) Blaca Monastery (50 min drive from Bol)
https://goo.gl/maps/EPww88cuKZVUGAXeA
Fantastic 16th century dwellings with ton of history. Place is well preserved and taken care of. Guided 30 minute for 40HRK is well worth it. Highly recommended.
6.) Dragons Cave (10 min drive from Bol)
https://goo.gl/maps/M6qBcfefJnUz1YBL6
Zmajeva spilja (the Dragon's Cave) is located near village of Murvica, about seven kilometers from Bol. Murvica village on the west side of Bol town hides another architectonic master work. In the hills above the small village, full of abandoned rustic houses, lies the so called Dragons Cave.
It’s one of four monasteries in Bol and tours start in the village and require a 1,5 h hike on steep terrain with wonderful sea views. The cave is full of religious carvings and takes the visitor into a world of ancient Slavic history and conspiracy theories
7.) Hike to Vidova gora (780m)
https://goo.gl/maps/JW84PC3nKMKmQvSJ7
Above Bol raises Vidova Gora, the highest peak of all Dalmatian islands. You can either drive all the way to the top by car or you can to walk the narrow path and discover the wonderful flora and fauna of this Mediterranean environment.
In the end you will be definitely rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Bol, Zlatni Rat beach and the Adriatic Sea. By foot it takes approximately 1,5 h to reach the top. The views from the top are just amazing! There is a shop kiosk at the top for cold drinks, wine, beer, coffee and ice cream etc. However please note it’s cash only.
8.) Try surfing and windsurfing
You can windsurf, dive or stand-up paddleboard (SUP) in many of the Croatian Islands – but Bol has special powers along this stretch of the Dalmatian Coast. The Maestral winds that blow along the southern part of Brac Island make perfect conditions for wind and surf sports. Visit Zoo Station (https://goo.gl/maps/ya5wT6VKKa2CPPgMA) and book your instructor.
9.) Bol Promenade
Alongside the seashore is a wonderful promenade leading from the town to famous Zlatni rat beach. The path is lined with wonderful sculptures made from Brac stone and above you raise large pine trees, creating a pleasant shade.
The influence of the stone masonry school is felt also in this part of Dalmatia, and as a result the whole town is covered with sophisticated works of Brac stone.

Really nice food and great service. We had the black risotto - thankfully ordered it as a main as it's huge - and grilled squid - couldn't finish it as so big - with a side of veggies. Setting is lovely. A little outside of town. Greta house wine and we were offered a nice home made desert liquor near the end which went down a treat.

The breakfast plant based omelette is far better than anything one can prepare with eggs. You don't have to be an organic and vegan food junkie to dig into it with frenzy. It's juicy, bursts with flavours, it's textures are delicious. Lunches and dinners on their animated terrace with splendid view out on the sea and old port are filled with unexpected unctuous flavours. Among intriguing dishes, the most impressive were cheese plate, truffle gnocchi and red curry bowl. Not to forget stunning deserts, predominately unbaked and all gluten free, made with just a couple of pure and refreshing ingredients. You will always remember the avocado cake you ate there! Not only are they 100% whole food plant based, but ingredients are cultivated and sourced locally in Brac. All the tasty wines are Croatian and organic as well. On the top of it all, service is cheerful, warm and perfectly professional.
5.) Pumparela Restaurant

Perfect food, location and service. The homemade bread was very good, especially when the staff made a mixture of oil and balsamic. If you are a fan of meat, than you must try tomahawk steak. Excellent quality of meat and cooked perfectly, so the meat is almost like butter is in your mouth. A must visit if you are in the area. Service is the best we had ever witnessed and the food also matched that. The view and the location by the port makes it a perfect dining experience.
6.) Topolino Restaurant

WE WISH YOU A SUNNY HOLIDAY WITH MANY WONDERFUL MEMORIES AND ADVENTURES!
We have personally visited, tested and fallen in love with each of our house. Inclusion to our selection can’t be bought. At least one member of our team spent a few nights in all our villas, so we know every owner by its first name as well as the name of their children.
Our standards are very high. Over 70% of personally tested properties fail to make it into our selection!
We make you feel special: To us, you are not a number. We have deliberately decided to stay
“small” and boutique, to avoid mass tourism and rather concentrate on excellent customer
service.
Who will organize not only your holiday home and desired period, but also arrange for the boat rental, transfer, give you information of where the best restaurant in the city is, where the first hospital is and how to reach an island in combination with specific flight details.
What we tell you is 100% true. We hate making things look better. If you have small children and you want to make a reservation for a villa that has rocky beach in front of it, we will tell you that it is not ideal for the toddlers.
You are safe: We are always with you - before your holiday and during your journey and vacation you can reach us on a mobile number 24/7.
